Do gas fireplaces need a chimney?
Not always — many modern gas fireplaces are room-sealed (balanced flue) and vent directly through an outer wall, while others need a conventional flue. We'll confirm what your chosen unit requires.
Is a gas fireplace safe to leave unattended?
Properly installed units with working safety shut-off valves are designed for safe home use, but we'd still recommend following the manufacturer's guidance on unattended operation, especially around children and pets.
