I can smell gas — what should I do right now?
Turn off the gas supply at the cylinder or main isolation valve if it's safe to reach, open windows and doors for ventilation, don't switch electrical items on or off, and don't use a naked flame. Get everyone clear of the area and call us or your local emergency services immediately.
How often should a gas installation be inspected?
There's no single fixed interval for every property, but an inspection is worthwhile after any suspected leak, before selling a property, after a long period of disuse, or simply if your installation hasn't been checked in several years.
